About Nornly

Why Nornly exists

Nornly was founded based on the experience of how challenging it is to navigate a complex legal system while in mourning. After seeing the difficulties that bereaved families face without sufficient overview or help, we decided to develop the tool that was missing.

After a death in the family, many Norwegians encounter a system that is fragmented, bureaucratic, and poorly adapted to those who are grieving. The information exists — but it is scattered between the district court, NAV, the Tax Administration, banks, and insurance companies. Nornly brings together what is relevant for you in one place.

What Nornly is

Nornly is a guidance tool. We give you a personal checklist based on your situation, help you understand what happens and when, and point you to the right authorities. The content is based on current Norwegian inheritance law.

What Nornly is not

Nornly is not a lawyer service and does not provide legal advice. For complicated situations — especially where there is disagreement between heirs, doubt about the validity of a will, or large values involved — we recommend that you contact a lawyer.
